Every finance and HR role your agency needs
From strategic CFO leadership to day-to-day bookkeeping, we staff every finance and HR role on a fractional basis — so you get senior, agency-specific expertise without the cost of a full-time hire.
Schedule a ConversationMost firms make you choose: a strategic CFO who never touches the books, or a bookkeeper who can’t see around corners. We built The Good CFO to be the whole finance and HR function — one team that has actually sat in these seats at agencies like yours, staffed at the level each role demands and no higher.
Most engagements start in one of two places: a fractional CFO when the decisions have outgrown the founder, or a fractional controller when the close is late and the numbers can’t be trusted. If you are not sure which, the controller is almost always the cheaper and more logical first move. We work with agencies in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.

Explore →Simple, flexible, month to month.
We agree on a monthly budget and scope you control and can adjust as needs change. Invoices go out on the first of the month and are due on receipt. There’s no long contract — either side can step away with reasonable notice, and you only pay for the work performed through the end date. We’d rather earn it every month.
You're not hiring one person. You're getting an entire finance team.
Start with the role you need most today — the rest of the function is already behind it when you're ready to grow.
